2026 first chess tournament

In my childhood I spent a lot of time playing chess against my siblings, classmates and neibgoors. Later when I came to Canada, where I discovered I could connect with my coworkers by playing chess and sports with them on my lunch breaks and after job hours. We used these activities as one of the ways to help us build friendships in our new life. Now we are playing chess with kids of different ages. But surprisingly most of them pick up new things right away, as if it were a special language and their eyes would light up during every chess game. This is not just spending good time. These lessons are about passion and courage, strategy and taking risks, and connecting with other people. On March 30, 2026 we had our first chess tournament. All participants were so happy that were asking just one question: when will be the next round? So, it will be during next school break which is summer break. We will continue our cooperation with IHLA schools (Armenian, Telugu, and Philippine schools are eager to participate).
